2nd Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities:

2nd shift supervisor for our client located in Addison Michigan.

Coordinates production plans with Plant Manager and others based on production requirements from production orders, drawings, written specifications, and similar documents to optimize productivity.

Trains and develops team members on operating molding and CNC process

Trains and develops team members on job assignments duties in accordance with applicable quality and manufacturing procedures, work instructions, good manufacturing practices and safety procedures

Coordinates and assists in changeovers as needed

Audits quality and production performance, in accordance with work instructions and inspection plans, throughout the sift to ensure quality requirements are being achieved and taking corrective actions as appropriate.

Operates small hand and power tools, as well as powered machinery.

Trains and develops team members on count accuracy, packaging/skidding and labeling in-process and finished product in accordance with work instructions.

Transfer stock and finished product either manually or by means of manually operated stock handling equipment.

Performs other duties and assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3 years plastics profile extrusion experience including line changeover
  • Must be proficient with using a tape measure to within 1/16″
  • Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools
  • Will provide advanced training on use other measuring tools
  • Ability to use common hand tools and to setup and operate various common powered tools and production equipment
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55lbs
  • Ability to read and comprehend production documents and simple mechanical drawings
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use ERP systems
  • Ability to initiate and maintain various production reports and records
  • Ability to interact positively with supervisory personnel and coworkers
  • Ability to operate a lift-truck
